During 2016, in the early days of the Buhari government, while advising the House of Reps investigation into railway contracts awarded during the Jonathan era by the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) and Federal Ministry of Transportation (FMT), funded partly by grants from SURE-P (Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme), appropriation and foreign loans, I appeared on a TV show on AIT. I met Nwabueze Njoku, a remarkable journalist on the set. When he invited me recently to a conversation at his new Signature TV station, I didn’t hesitate to join him.
